RESPONSIBILITIES

  •   Manage the Equipment and Service Department.
  •   Supervise Equipment and Service Technicians.
  •   Plan and coordinate service calls and preventive maintenance activities.
  •   Ensure adequate inventory of equipment and parts.
  •   Track and control equipment transferred or sold to customer sites.
  •   Track inventory of replacement parts at customer locations as well as technicians’ “car stock.”
  •   Ensure the proper operation of production equipment and assure scheduled preventive maintenance in the production plant.
  •   Update and monitor the preventive maintenance program.
  •   Diagnose and resolve pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical issues.
  •   Program and troubleshoot dosing systems.
  •   Supervise installations and technical interventions at customer locations, as required.
  •   Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for equipment, parts, repairs, and technical support, as required.
  •   Maintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance activities, repairs, and service interventions.
  •   Identify equipment issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  •   Contribute to the continuous improvement of equipment and processes by developing action and preventive plans using technical expertise, initiative, and creativity.
  •   Participate in the rebuilding, modification, and recommissioning of equipment.
  •   Ensure maintenance and technical activities are performed in accordance with applicable health and safety requirements.
  •   Perform other related duties as required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  •   Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
  •   Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electromechanics or a related field.
  •   Knowledge of industrial equipment, controllers, motors, pumps, sensors, and dosing systems.
  •   Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems.
  •   Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation, an asset.
  •   Strong ability to independently diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic technical issues.
  •   Strong initiative, resourcefulness, a strong leader and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  •   Good sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities effectively.
  •   Strong organizational, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  •   Proactive, dynamic, and results oriented.
  •   Knowledge of SAGE software, an asset.
  •   French required; English, an asset.
